The Lords Prayer

By: {Leon}
The Lords prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever.

Amen

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Our father god in heaven is sanctified and so will you, if you use his name rightfully.

Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven Stating that heaven is like earth and you can make a kingdom on earth just as in heaven, neither will be broken at the end as you will still live in the kingdom of god.

Give us this day our daily bread. Bread in biblical terms is always symbolic of life, therefore this is asking for another day of life to be spent upon earth.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. The statement speaks for its self, god is all forgiving and we should embody gods forgiveness of our wrong doings, by equally forgiving anyone else that does wrong by us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. We are only human, we are easily led astray, sometimes we forget what is right and wrong. All we need at times is reminding what is true and right.

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Restating what was said earlier about the kingdom of heaven, that there is no need to worry, we shall reign in heaven, or the kingdom of our choosing for ever.

Amen. This is a word that bonds the faith in what has been said, in Judaism it means affirming ones faith.

Triumph

By: {Jackie}
The Six Mistakes of Man

The illusion that personal gain is made up of
crushing others.

The tendency to worry about things that
cannot be changed or corrected.

Insisting that a thing is impossible because we
cannot accomplish it.

Refusing to set aside trivial preferences.

Neglecting development and refinement of
the mind, and not acquiring the habit of
reading and study.

Attempting to compel others to believe and
live as we do.

by Marcus Tullius Cicero (106 BC-43 BC)

These words were written so long ago and these words can still be used now.

Thought I would post this to get everyones thoughts.

God Bless Jackie

The Emerald Tablet

By: {Leon}
1. Tis true without lying, certain & most true.
2. That which is below is like that which is above & that which is above is like that which is below to do the miracles of one only thing.
3. And as all things have been & arose from one by the meditation of one: so all things have their birth from this one thing by adaptation.
4. The Sun is its father, the moon its mother,
5. The wind hath carried it in its belly, the earth its nurse.
6. The father of all perfection in the whole world is here.
7. Its force or power is entire if it be converted into earth.
7a. Separate thou the earth from the fire, the subtle from the gross sweetly with great industry.
8. It ascends from the earth to the heaven & again it desends to the earth and receives the force of things superior & inferior.
9. By this means you shall have the glory of the whole world & thereby all obscurity shall fly from you.
10. Its force is above all force, for it vanquishes every subtle thing & penetrates every solid thing.
11a. So was the world created.
12. From this are & do come admirable adaptations where of the means (or process) is here in this.
13. Hence I am called Hermes Trismegist, having the three parts of the philosophy of the whole world.
14. That which I have said of the operation of the Sun is accomplished & ended.

This translation of The Emerald tablet is by Isaac Newton. There have been several translations of the tablet over time. The tablet includes one of the most meaningful quotes using the saying of Hermes Trismegistus, which is "as above so below" If you think of that saying while thinking what it is like in heaven, you will get a better idea. Because if it exists in heaven it must exist here or vice versa.

Healing & Psychic Healing

By: {Daveuk}
The spoken word and listening are the most common forms of,Healing,,that are applied by all people in their life at one time or another..Many may not recognise the healing values in the role that they play in speaking or listening at the time of it happening...All that is needed to enhance this powerful tool is the conscious thought of sensitivity to others needs,so,aiding the enhancement of love and compassion within yourself...In the growth and refinement of the emotions of love and compassion, i believe,that the psychic abilities are fueled,so,we move on to an aspect of psychic healing,where,these emotional qualities emit a tangible energy that can be applied to another person to enhance healing of physical illness...This ability to heal in a psychic way is not segregated to a few people,,but,,applies to all people,,the only difference will be in the effectiveness of the healing from individual to individual...Not all people will move on to become known as,healers, as their psychic/mediumistic abilities unfold,but as said before,we all have the qualities and capabilities to aid healing..In your development of opening up psychic awareness you may experience other peoples pain/ailments,,this may not be pleasant but only remains for a short while,and, it gives you insight to the persons suffering in you being able to feel it for yourself and also as a means of direction for your healing to be applied..Some say that direction isn't required, and, they are right to say so, as healing will work with or without direction or a means of knowing whats wrong with a person,but,i take the view that with trance healing,spirit take control and invariably work your hands in the area of the complaint,so,i feel that with direction the healing may be more effective..I was going to go into aspects of personal responsibility in regards healing,but,will leave that for another time..My way may be different to how other people see it,,but no matter of the rights or wrongs in opinion,,you all hold aspects of healing,so, please come to recognise these qualities,grow in your love and compassion for humanity and grow in your own spiritual wealth and progression by doing so..........
God-Bless Everyone xxx

Dancing With God

By: {Sylvia}
When I meditated on the word Guidance, I kept seeing 'dance' at the end of the word. I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing lightly in one direction or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word Guidance. When I saw 'G': I thought of God, followed by 'u' and 'i'.

'God, 'u' and 'i' dance.' God, you, and I dance. As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became willing to let God lead. My prayer for you today is that God's blessings and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday. May you abide in God, as God abides in you. Dance together with God, trusting God to lead and to guide you through each season of your life.

I Hope You Dance!

God bless!

Life Is A Creation Not A Discovery

By: {Judiann}
G'day, This is one I have done on a word document and posted on the message board, so it will benefit you!! Just copy, paste to word document, and print it out, and sit back, put up your feet, and have a good read....it's only 2 pages..but worth keeping and looking back on occassionally. And P.S. I would love the feedback!!

LIFE IS A CREATION – NOT A DISCOVERY

1. God created you in His image and Likeness

2. God is the Creator.

3. You are 3 beings in 1. You can call these 3 aspects of being anything you want: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; mind, body and spirit; super-conscious, conscious and sub-conscious.

4. Creation is a process that proceeds from these 3 parts of your body. Put another way, you create at 3 levels. The tools of creation are: thought, word and deed.

5. All creation begins with thought (proceeds from the father). All creation then moves to word (“Ask, and you shall receive, speak and it shall be done unto you”). All creation is filled in deed. (“And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us”).

6. That which you think of, but thereafter never speak of, creates at one level. That which you think of and speak of, creates at another level. That which you think, speak and do becomes manifest in your reality. To think, speak and do something, which you do not truly believe, is impossible. Therefore, the process of creation must include belief or knowing. This is absolute faith. This is BEYOND hoping. This is KNOWING OF A CERTAINTY. (“By your faith shall ye be healed”). Therefore, the doing part of creation always includes knowing. It is a gut-level clarity, a total certainty, a complete ACCEPTANCE OF REALITY of something.

7. This place of knowing is a place of intense and incredible gratitude. It us a THANKFULNESS IN ADVANCE. And that, perhaps, is the biggest key to creation: to be grateful BEFORE, and for, the creation. Such taking for granted is not only condoned, but encouraged. It is the SURE SIGN OF MASTERY!! All Masters KNOW IN ADVANCE THAT THE DEED IS DONE!

8. Celebrate and enjoy all that you create, and have created. To reject any part
of it is to reject a part of yourself. Whatever it is that is now presenting itself
as part of your creation, own it, claim it, bless it, be thankful for it (“God
damn it!”), for to condemn it, is to condemn God yourself.

8. If there is some aspect of creation you find you do not enjoy, bless it and
simply change it. Choose again. Call forth a new reality. Think a new thought. Say a new word. Do a new thing. Do this magnificently and the rest of the world will follow you. Ask it to. Call for it to. Say, “I AM THE LIFE AND THE WAY, FOLLOW ME!!”

THIS IS HOW TO MANIFEST GOD’S WILL…”ON EARTH, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN”.

Use the great command that calls forth creative power: “I AM”. Make “I am” statements to others. “I am” is the strongest creative statement in the Universe. Whatever you think, whatever you say, after the words, “I am”, sets into motion those experiences, calls them forth, brings them to you. The Universe responds to “I am” as would a genie in a bottle.

The first step is learning to monitor your thoughts; to THINK ABOUT what you are thinking about. When you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts – thoughts that will negate your highest idea about a thing – think again! I want to do this LITERALLY. If you think you are in a doldrum, in a pickle, and no good can come of this, THINK AGAIN! If you think the world is a bad placer, filled with negative events, THINK AGAIN! If you think your life is falling apart, and it looks as if you’ll never put it back together again, THINK AGAIN! You CAN train yourself to do this. Look how well you trained yourself not to do it!!

The Deliverance Of The Soul

By: {Bremichael}
It was told to me by my grandmother before that we are all forgiven whenever we go in prayer and ask for forgiveness... but is it all what we need to do to be completely free of our grief from the sins and wrongdoings that we've committed?

Just for conversation, I would like to know.. Do you believe that prayer is generally enough to free your mind of the stress and ease your body from the things that have gone awry in your life? Or perhaps is it more, like acting and learning on what you have done to make things right again?

Just a general discussion.

Shared Spiritual Vision

By: {Leon}
As the self becomes congruent and learns to manifest it's own vision, people come in who share that vision. yet not withstanding the shared sense of purpose, ego struggles will inevitably arise. One person will want a certain configuration or outcome. Another person will want another outcome.

Every relationship will experience the jousting of ego's, the beginnings of potential violation or trespass. However, if the sense of self runs deeply enough, neither individual will capitulate to the demand and expectations of the other.

There will be a communication of wants and expectations and a willingness to stay open to a solution that honours both sides.

A shared vision is simply that aspect of experience that resonates for both people at the same time. Partnership can be built only on shared vision and the willingness of the partners to let go of their rigid pictures of the way things should be.

hearing the deep need of each person, but letting go of the ego's pictures of how that need has to be met, the two enter the silence together, asking for the highest good of all concerned.

In the silence each hears something. Sometimes both hear the same thing, or one hears something that the other feels good about. That is shared guidance.

All decisions in a partnership are made through intuitive conscientious.

By Paul Ferrini

Whether the vision is as a group or in a relationship, try to find the silence paul talks about to meet others on common ground, which will enable the circumstances for growth within all.

God Bless.

Spiritual Reality

By: {Leon}
Getting to Heaven

It is not so hard to lead a heaven-bound life as people think it is. Some people believe it is hard to lead the heaven-bound life that is called spiritual because they have heard that we need to renounce the world and give up the desires attributed to the body and flesh and live spiritually. All they understand by this is spurning worldly interests, especially concerns for money and prestige, going around in constant devout meditation about God, salvation, and eternal life, devoting their lives to prayer, and reading the Word and religious literature. However, the actual case is quite different, as I have learned from an abundance of experience and conversation with angels. In fact, people who renounce the world and live for the spirit in this fashion take on a mournful life for themselves, a life that is not open to heavenly joy. No, if we would accept heaven's life, we need by all means to live in the world and to participate in its duties and affairs this is because living an inner life and not an outer life at the same time is like living in a house that has no foundations, that gradually either settles or develops gaping cracks or totters until it collapses.

Emanuel Swedenborg
Heaven and Hell (1758)

Very true words here, who says you have to live like a saint, nun or monk to be spiritual. Hide yourself away from the world and how can you ever be able to learn, for you are only excluding the interaction with others that you need for your own personal growth and understanding.

God Bless.

Give Love Each Day

By: {Rob}
I've noticed that you have been posting some song lyrics recently, so here is my offering, taken from my favourite band 'Yes' which is so applicable in the way we need to live our lives - enjoy!

Standing here on sacred ground
Some days it's a mad world let it be
Words of promise fill the air, empty voices
How long have we waited?

And every time I hold your hand
You bring to me this promised land
I live for you, this promised land

Take me there and back again
Some days it's a sad world let it be
What's the point of looking for this power divine?
It's already in my changes

And every time I hear your voice
I realize I have a choice
To live again, I deserve this choice
To live again

Our heaven will be now
You are the song from the book of time
To realize what is yours is mine
We are meant to be
All because our love has always been
You are the center of my day
You are my guide in every way
We are meant to be
All because our love has always been there
Giving me the light
Yes it's been there
Giving me the light

Second nature sings to me
Some days it's a dark world let it be
I define my right to be
I can follow those who've lost their vision

And every time I hold your hand
You redesign my promised land
I live for you, this promised land
I live for you

You are the song from the book of time
To realize what is yours is mine
We are meant to be
All because our love has always been
You are the center of my day
You are my guide in every way
We are meant to be
All because our love has always been there
Giving me the light (Giving me the light)
Yes it's been there, giving me the light

You are the song from the book of time
To realize what is yours is mine
We are meant to be
All because our love has always been
You are the center of my day
You are my guide in every way
We are meant to be
All because our love has always been there
Giving me the light
Yes it's been there giving me the light

Give love each day

God Guides Us Home

By: {Leon}
Walk with me brothers and sisters, on-wards through the mountains that block your path, thee knows that hidden in your mind is the secret to the way forward.

Night may have fallen upon your day, yet stars guide the way through the craggy mountain side passage. Only by trusting in god and keeping ones mind and heart upon the stars, that have been lighted by god since before time, will you move forwards.

God has left us with many ways to find our way in the dark, not just stars, but the moon that governs the emotions for so many upon this earth.

The moon controls the tide and controls anything that is made of water, you are made of water pure love.

Keep calm and allow your direction to be aided by god's gifts to the earth. You are never alone in darkness, as god has given us so many tools to find our way home, back to happiness and love.

God bless.

All As One Spirit

By: {Leon}
I love you, my brother,

whoever you are.

I love you as you pray in mosque,
as you practice your devotion in church or
worship in your temple.

For you and I are the children
of one single religion: the Spirit.

The various pathways of this religion
represent the different fingers
of the single loving hand
of the Supreme Being.

And to guide us towards
the fulfilment of the soul,
this hand stretch out
towards us with ardor.

Words from a book called The Vision by Kahlil Gibran. All sources of god lead to one, just as all rivers run to the sea, all beliefs join at the supreme source of creation.

God bless.

There Is A Time

By: {Jackie}
Allow your life to unfold naturally.
Know that it too is a vessel of perfection.
Just as you breath in and breathe out,
there is a time for being ahead
and a time for being behind;
a time for being in motion
and a time for being at rest;
a time for being vigorious
and a time for being exhausted;
and a time for being in danger.

This is part of the 29th verse of the Tao-tzo
from the book by Dr. Wayne Dyer

and this is from the Bible:

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

From the Bible Ecclesiaste 3
A time for everything.

These two verses are similar and came from different religious backrounds.

Thought it was interesting how all religions almost say the same thing.

what does everyone think? Jackie

The Phoenix

By: {Karen}
The Legend of the Phoenix

The bird proudly willing to burn,
So that he may live again,
Chooses the flames of fires
That burn the aged Phoenix
The nature stands still
Till a new young bird starts again,
and begins the legend of the Phoenix.

Claudian (a Roman author)

One day in the ancient times, the sun looked down and saw a large bird with bright red and dazzling gold feathers. The sun god blessed him, "Glorious Phoenix, you shall be my bird and live forever!"

The Phoenix was overjoyed to hear these words and sang, “I shall sing my songs for you alone!" But living forever didn’t make him happy for long. Men, women, and children were always chasing him, wanting some of those beautiful, shiny feathers for themselves.

Tired, the phoenix flew off toward the east, where the sun rises in the morning. The Phoenix flew for a long time, and then came to a far away, hidden desert where no humans lived. Here, flying freely he would sing the songs of praise to the sun alone.
Five centuries passed. The Phoenix was still alive, but it had grown old. It couldn't soar so high in the sky, nor fly as fast or as far as it was young. It wasn’t as strong.

The Phoenix sang, "Sun, glorious sun, make me young and strong again!" The sun didn't answer. When the sun still didn't answer, the Phoenix decided to return to the place of its origin.
The journey was long, and because the Phoenix was old and weak, it had to rest along the way. Each time it landed, it collected pieces of cinnamon bark and all kinds of fragrant leaves.
When at last the bird returned to its home, it landed on a tall palm tree. Right at the top of the tree, the Phoenix built a nest with the cinnamon bark and lined it with the fragrant leaves. Then the Phoenix collected myrrh, a sharp-scented gum and made an egg from it. It carried the egg back to the nest.

The Phoenix sat down in its nest, and once again, sang, "Sun, glorious sun, make me young and strong again!"
This time the sun heard the song. It shone down on the mountainside with all its strength. Everyone, every animal, reptile, bird hid from the sun's fierce rays -- in caves and holes, under shady rocks and trees. Only the Phoenix sat upon its nest at the top of the tallest palm tree on the highest mountain and let the suns rays beat down upon it beautiful, shiny feathers. Suddenly there was a flash of light, flames leaped out of the nest, and the Phoenix became a big round ball of fire.

After a while the flames died down. Strangely, the nest and the tree remained unaffected by the fire! But the Phoenix disappeared. Only a heap of silvery-gray ash remained in the nest. Suddenly, the ash began to tremble and slowly heaved itself upward. Rose a young Phoenix. It was small and, like new born, looked sort of crumpled. But stretching its neck it lifted and flapped its wings. Moment by moment it grew, until it was the same size as the old Phoenix. It looked around, and hollowed the egg made of myrrh. Placing the ashes inside it finally closed the egg. He resumes his Sun song. As the song ended the climate changed. The clouds emerged, wind began to blow and all the living creatures emerged out of their hiding places.
The Phoenix, with the egg in its claws, flew up and away. At the same time, birds of all shapes and sizes rose up from the earth and flew behind the Phoenix. They sang, "You are the greatest of birds! You are our king!"

The birds flew with the Phoenix to the temple of the sun at Heliopolis. The Phoenix placed the egg with the ashes inside on the sun's altar. While the other birds watched, it flew off toward the faraway desert. The legend is that the even today the Phoenix lives there. Every five hundred years, when it begins to feel weak and old, it flies west to the same mountain. It again builds a nest atop the palm tree and the sun again burns it to ashes… And from these ashes rises another Phoenix.

Ever since I was a child and first read about the legendary Phoenix, I have always been fascinated by it and its myth. I have often tried to analyze why and I think it simply comes down to the message of hope that it inspires. That no matter what happens to us in life from its ashes we can rise again, reborn, inspired and ready to try again

Divine Love

        By: {Jackie} Divine Love is not human "romantic" love. It is of a spirtual nature, it is all-encompassing and unconditional. Divine Love is often attributed only to God and/or spiritual beings. Yet as we are all sparks of the creator (The Divine) adn as the Creator is Love, we are therefor also love, we are therefore also love - Divine Love is who we really are, yet in our human state and using mostly our five senses, we have forgotten this and we perceive other people and animals and nature as "separate" from ourselves. But we are all made of the same "stuff" and are all therefore "One" and all connected. This is confirmed on a scientific level with Quantum Physics. It is our perception of separateness the causes all the woes we have in this world. What we do to one, we do to ourselves. THERE IS NO SEPERATENESS, ONLY ONE NESS. From: Pearls of Wisdom- www.sapphyr.net Thought I would share this with everyone. And remember be tolerant................. God Bless Jackie

Need Help With Telepathy

By: {Zophiazywiec}
Hi Folks!

About three months ago, I became telepathic. By this I mean I can communicate without words to others that are telepathic as well. I can hear the thought they send me, either as words or as an idea and can respond with my mind so that they can hear me.

At first, I was thrilled with this ability because I knew the folk I was communicating with and it was delightful to be in contact with them in this manner. Lately, however, I am hearing things from folk I cannot identify & I am feeling very frustrated by this.

Last night, just before I fell asleep, I heard "I live in Seattle now." I have no clue who sent me that information, had no intution about it at all and it is driving me to distraction today. Do any of you have experience with telepathy?? I could use some guidance here. Is there a certain way to discern who is communicating with me? Any advice will be appreciated.

If you don't want to post, please feel free to PM me. Thanks!

Love to all of you,

The Law Of Cause And Effect

By: {Leon}
"How often do you hear, ‘If God existed, he wouldn’t allow so many injustices to be committed.’ If we wish to understand God’s patience, we must never lose sight of the law of cause and effect, one of the fundamental laws of creation. There is no cause without effect anywhere in the universe; every act and every element is the consequence of a cause. It is only the brevity of life that prevents human beings from having the correct viewpoint and the correct understanding of events; the causes and consequences escape them. That is why they are impatient.
Patience is a virtue that is acquired through an awareness of the continuance of life. As long as people are unable to take a long-term view, they are impatient and draw hasty conclusions, for they see only aberrations and injustice everywhere. Those, on the other hand, who are capable of seeing how the law of cause and effect works will notice that everything is just and everything has meaning."
By Omraam Aivanhov

Does a flower grow over night! No it does not but with the effects of the sun and rain it grows. If the sun is too strong it will dry up, wither and die. If it rains too much it will drown and also die.

But if it receives equal amounts of sun and rain it will grow stronger over time. Similar conditions effect your life, the only difference is you can control the cause within your life by your own actions.

In turn the effects will be more gracefully bestowed upon you if you make the right choices patiently and unhurried.

God Bless.

The Inner Gift Of Truth

By: {Karen}
I found these words in a book that I've been reading and they really resonated with me, I thought I'd like to share them with you.

This is an extract taken from a book called Guardians Of The Tall Stones by Moyra Caldecott.

I was so continually searching into the depths of my own Being to find "the spirit that is everywhere", that is more powerful than anything and that nothing can cage it if it has the will to be free, that I sought solitude, I resented the intrusion of people, of duties of anything that distracted me from my purpose. Before, I had neglected the inner life by concentrating on the outer: now I neglected the outer by concentrating too much on the inner. To me the whole of material existence became unimportant. Only spirit mattered.

But this is not as it should be. Spirit and matter are part of the same Whole: different manifestations of the same God. The same Source. Each develops because of the other, not in spite of the other. We are not material form for no reason, as we are not spirit for no reason. We must use both, we must learn from both.

I have read this book many times having bought it some 17 years ago. These words jumped out from the pages as if reading them for the first time. Its odd isn't it how that happens!! I believe it is because as we grow in maturity and insight certain truths become apparent to us, when previously they may have gone noted, but not evoking much response. It brings to mind so clearly the importance of balance. Balance, in our inner and outer lives and how difficult this state is to achieve. We sometimes become so focused on our own personal spiritual growth that we underestimate the importance of our daily physical lives.

The lessons we learn from the every day things that we do, be it the simple act of doing something basic and mundane such as housework or shopping. i.e. cleaning our homes and feeding our bodies is the same as spiritually and mentally nourishing our minds and cleansing and purifying our physical bodies by respecting it and its needs. Our relationships with loved ones, friends work colleagues that teach us the importance of respect, co operation and patience and most of all unconditional love.

Love and light

Today my granddaughter ,Denver, would have been 2 and tomorrow my dad would have been 65. As i sit here missing them i was wondering if they have a party in Heaven for their earthly birthdays? Not sure why they would but i do like the idea that they are partying on the days that brought them here. Kinda makes getting through today and tomorrow a lil easier.

Best Posture Debate

        By {Shrinath} Three priests were discussing the best posture for prayers. The fist one said, "I have tried all the postures several times and I think that the best one is kneeling down. My best prayers come when I am praying kneeling down." The second one said, "You are right, but all the yogies and mystics recommend the cross-legged lotus posture because that is most conducive to a relaxed mental state. The best I have ever prayed is when I am in lotus posture" The third said, "Agreed, but you know what, I have found that the weather has an important role. My best prayers come when its sunny-bright and I am looking up at the clear blue sky, whatever be the body posture." An electrician was working close by and listening to the priests. He came over and said to them, "For all you know fellows, the best prayer I have ever said was hanging down by one leg from an electric pole in a thunderstorm. And I bet none of you has ever prayed as good as I did that day." The moral of the story is "urgency". A great saint once said that you will find God when you want Him as much as a drowning man wants air. Its about how urgently, how desperately you want a response from God. Correct postures have their place in spiritual discipline but nothing can take the place of that burning urgency by which an electrician prays while hanging by one leg from an electric pole in a thunderstorm. We need to cultivate that intensity of desperation and urgency in our search for God.

Willow

By: {Ravenspirit}
WILLOW

Willows are magical trees with slender pale silver-green leaves. The weeping willow originated in China, where it graced cemeteries as a symbol of immortality, and the tree had spread to the Near East by Biblical times. As Old Testament reference to the exiled Jews hanging their harps upon the willows as they wept beside the rivers of Babylon led to the weeping willow’s classification by Linnaeus as Silax babylonica. In ancient Greece, the goddess Hera was born under a willow on the island of Samos, where a magnificent temple was built to honor her. In the underworld kingdom of Pluto and Persephone, Orpheus touched a willow branch and received the gift of supernatural eloquence. Willow groves are sacred to Hecate, dark goddess of witchcraft.

During the Middle Ages, the willow became a traditional motif adorning tombs. Early 19th-century gravestones throughout New England were decorated with the willow emblem.
An old spell uses willow to dismiss love and transform passion into friendship.

At Full Moon snip a foot-long tendril from a weeping willow tree and braid it with equal lengths of bright red and cool green yarn. Tie three knots in the braid and hang the charm in an airy room until the Moon is in its last quarter. On three successive nights untie the knots one by one in privacy and silence while concentrating on your desire. Before the New Moon rises, burn the red strand to ashes and throw to the winds. Coil the willow and green wool together and place in an envelope for safekeeping.

The willow of the Druids was not the weeping willow, but the tree or shrub we know as the girl thingy willow. The Irish called the girl thingy willow one of the "seven noble trees of the land."

The girl thingy willow is used in love charms as a guard against evil and its wands are often employed in divination. Reflecting the ancient status of the girl thingy willow, it is the wood to "knock on" and avert bad luck.
Medieval herbalists placed all willows under the rulership of the moon.

Test of Faith Continued..

By: {Floraloak}
Well, it's been a while since I've shared with you all where my journey has been taking me... so thought it was time for a little update.

In my last post about this 'test of faith' I shared with you the message I received from God. Well, I did as he instructed and my last day at my corporate job was last friday. How has it been so far? Well, on Saturday morning I rec'd a phone call and on the other end of the line I heard a timid voice saying... " I know you just left work yesterday, but I was wondering are you taking appointments already?" I was dumb founded but quickly put myself together and said "Yes, I am!" Could this be a sign of things to come? We'll see Someone sure is taking care of me.

The best way to describe the last few months is... part of me is watching everything unfold and that part of me is in awe of the whole process. The other part of me just knows what needs to be done next and does it. Yet I am me... interesting....

My first week in this new phase has been busy with meetings, getting things together in the background (paperwork), a few more appointments, and there's even been time for me to chat It's been nice catching up with you all in the chat room and I look forward to chatting even more.

The thing that stood out for me the most this past week happened on Sunday. I was sitting having my morning coffee, looking around and said to myself "What do I WANT to do today" lol... seems like such a small thing but it felt wonderful to want to do something instead of having to do it. Oh, bet you're wondering what I choce to do that day, huh? I chose to do my laundry... lol. It really is the small stuff that counts.

That's it for now...

God bless!

Reiki Circle

By: {Marci}
I had an amazing time last night at the reiki circle. It was more wonderful than words can say ! Their was 4 of us there and 2 masters, everyone was instant friends. Everyone received and gave last night. The feeling of working with a master to perform was amazing. The feelings that went through me and the energy are indescribable . During the time that i was receiving the master leaned over and whispered in my ear that my granddaughter had spoke to her and wants me to be at peace and no quilt. Of course the tears started but it was good tears .There is one every month ,so i cant wait to go back !
Well I could go on and on but i wont LOL. Just wanted those who have not experienced reiki to defiantly try it ,it is so worth it !

We all experience that in our lives -

The Cycle Of Life

By: {Leon}

The wheel of life spins round and round, never ceasing never slowing down, moving forwards with ever motion.

Learning lessons come your way as you grow. As a child you learned to ride a bike, at your first attempt you fell off, then you got back on your saddle and tried again.

When you was young it was no problem to get back in the saddle even though you carried the scars and bruises of your fall.

But through perseverance you learned to ride the bike, achieving what you had set out to do.

As you grow with the cycle of life, problems come in many shapes and sizes. But like the child you once was, you must once again get back in your saddle after every fall.

You must not be beaten. You must be strong on your journey of life. Your soul, the very core of your being, guides and balances you through times of strife. Long ago you learned to ride the bike you struggled with, for many a day.

Now you must balance yourself, focus and centre your mind, as you take every step forwards holding the hands of god to stabilize you on your way.

Anachronistically to Silvia, "MY ADVENTURE"

By: {Judiann}
G'day to all of my dear Soul Mates!

It seems that I too, am following what the Universe is asking of me! A few weeks ago I started getting signs from the Universe, to go back to college and do Certificate III in Information Technology. (Computer stuff...lol) The postman arrived last Thursday with a book from the college, advertising all of the courses available. I never asked them to send it, either; it just came in the mail! It was at that very moment, I KNEW that this is what I had to do. I do not know the reason, and I do not question why; all I know is that I HAVE to do this course. I am certain that the outcome will be delightfully amazing, and I hope to share the outcome of my "test of faith" with you, as soon as it comes to be!

So, without question or reason, I went straight down to the college and enrolled! I start back on Feb 4th. I am now a full-time student at college again...at my age...lol...see, age is only a number, isn't it?

I thought I would let you all know, in case you were wondering where I am. I will be coming into the chat room as much as I can; but I don't know my routine yet. Once this is all worked out, I will be able to settle down to some form of routine. I know that I will miss chatting as regularly as I have, but you will ALL be in my thoughts and prayers every, single day!!

With love, light and protection,

A Poem

By: {Marci}
One evening awhile back i was chatting with Dev. His words were flowing like a poem so i started writing them down,with his permission i would like to share them.

Where am I ?

this space on an online chatroom
and also in my chair
and also in a different headspace.
I am also where my memories are
I am everywhere but here.
So where am i?
As soon as i think i am here
then i am not
I wonder where i am not
and then maybe i will find where i am
but then everywhere i look i see me
a reflection of me
when the suns smiles
or when i look at my friends
or when i merely see or hear
or touch anything.
so where am i ?

I thought this is very deep thinking and it really gets me thinking about where are we really ? Is life a dream or reality ? Are we really here or just asleep ?

Love to all and thank you Dev for letting me share.

You Don't Need To Be Blind To See

By: {Karen}

How many of us really use our eyes when we look out at the world. We see things mainly in a straightforward two dimensional way. Have you thought what it would be like to wake up one morning to find that your sight had gone from you.

What would you do, rail against the fates, call out in despair to what you always saw as a benevolent god who watched over you and protected you, and sink into an oblivion of apathy and despair. Or would you see this as an opportunity to really start to see the world with all your senses. It takes a very brave person to do this, I often wonder if I could be courageous enough to cope with this if it ever happened to me.

We are surrounded by sights, sounds and smells that bombard the senses. Close your eyes and listen, what do you hear, in the silence of your blindness!! Become still, feel the air around you, everything will become incredibly heightened. The smallest sound, the faintest aroma, even the soft caress of the wind and the warmth of the sun caressing your face.

Be like an artist a stone carver examining a piece of stone that he wishes to use to create a thing of art and beauty. Reach outwards to feel the lines and contours of a face belonging to loved one or stranger.

It then occurred to me that we don't have to be blind to experience this awareness of life, we simply need to open our spiritual eyes and see the world in all its truest form. Then we can truly say that we are, alive.

The Sign Of Love

By: {Leon}
How difficult is it really, just to spread some love as you go about your daily lives.

How hard is it to say hello to the next door neighbour, or hold the shop door open for the next person.

How difficult is it, to spare some time to help others in need.

How difficult is it, just to be friendly to your follow man as you make your way through the day.

Love is not difficult, to love one and all is easy.

To pass through life not being loving and friendly is far more difficult. What do you really achieve by the end of each day, not being welcoming towards your fellow travelers of life. You only feel lonely and detached from the world.

So from tomorrow on your journey of life, love one and all. And you will see the love you receive back and the joy that fills your heart, will far outweigh anything else.

The Beat Of Your Heart

By: {Leon}
The Wise man, always listens with his heart. For the heart is what keeps his rhythmic balance within this world, every beat is like the sound of a distant drum keeping it's people as one as they march forwards.

Everyone needs to keep in time with the beat of their own inner drum, every step you make should follow to the beat of your heart.

Follow the path that you have laid, not what others tell you to do. How can you keep pace in precision with someone else, it is near impossible. You can only keep pace with the drum inside, the heart that is yours, the heart that governs your destiny.

Mistakes are made by not following your own beat, or by following the pace of someone else, you will falter to keep up with what they do. As it is not for you.

You may walk to a similar pace as others, but your pace is unique within this life. Follow your heart and you will live within the melody of life.

The Rainbow Bridge

By: {emeraldspirit}
Hi guys,

I know this is a site generally for people to learn about spirit, and when we think of spirit we often think of ourselves, guides, angels? Well I just thought I would post this link and passage to this site about lost animals, it is so moving and beautiful and I think it is a fitting remembrance for all those, including myself, that have lost beloved pets. Here it is, hope you found it heartening -

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Freedom

By: {shrinath}

The way to freedom is through service to others. The way to happiness is through meditation and being in tune with God…. Break the barriers of your ego; shed selfishness; free yourself from the consciousness of the body; forget yourself; do away with this prison house of incarnations; melt your heart in all, be one with all creation.

Possessions and Memories

By: {Timmy}

Dear Friends,

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I grew up in Kuwait. Actually I was born there. I was born in Ahmadi, Kuwait, not long after Kuwait was a British Mandate. So it was almost a colonial town. I loved my childhood. We lived in a bungalow on a tree lined street (eucalyptus trees) as did everyone else, and we had such fun times. I would spend my time until the age of 9 'exploring', climbing trees, riding my bike and remember how fascinated I was whenever I saw some moss in winter (in the desert, that's rare). Other times I would go into the desert which was on the edge of our town, and experience the wonderment and beauty of the sandy, mysterious terrain.

When it rained (once in a blue moon) us kids got so excited and would dance outside and jump in the puddles. It was magic.

I loved my childhood.

But when I got older, things changed.

I became aware of the fact that I was living in a country as a 'foreigner'. Even though I was born there and my father worked for the National Oil Company all his adult life, we were considered foreigners. To me, it was just my home.

I also became aware of ill-feeling towards me and my sisters - we were the product of an Arab father and a European mother - some people did not like that. Every day of my teens, I received abusive phone calls and was harassed on the streets in my neighborhood. It became normal. I would walk across the road to my friend's house and sure enough, a car full of arab youths would spot me and start shouting my name and horrible things about me.

That kind of thing gets to you after a while.

Then, when I was 18 and had just finished my A-Levels, Saddam decided to invade - and the world has never been the same again.

I miss my toys, my books, my things. I miss it all. I am angry that I lost them. But at the same time, I know I can survive without them.

A few months ago, I finally tracked down my favourite childhood book - through an 'out of print' web site. My God - when that book arrived in the post, the best thing about it was the smell - it smelled like an old library. I looked at it once and have not touched it since. That book represents my childhood and I am too afraid to touch it.

Where is this leading?

I want you to know about me. My parents and I lost everything overnight thanks to Saddam Hussein, BUT we are still here...

The thing I really learnt from this was that I do not need material posessions. I lost all my posessions, yet I am still here!! Actually, it is liberating, not to be so connected to THINGS. I don't need things anymore. On the contrary - I try to avoid having things. Even photos mean little to me. My memories are in my mind's eye and deep in my heart and in my very cells. I don't need any object to remind me of that.

So - I release myself from the need to HAVE things.

Instead, I yearn for the memories, the feelings of my magical childhood in the desert.

By: {Khalif}

You’re Always There for Me

When the world comes crashing in
And chaos rules my mind,
I turn my heart to you, Lord,
And pure, sweet peace I find.

You lift me out of trouble
You comfort me in pain;
You nourish, heal and cleanse me,
Like cool, refreshing rain.

In times of joy and bliss,
When things are going right,
You lift me even higher,
And fill me with delight.

You listen to my prayers;
You hear my every plea;
I’m safe because I know
You’re always there for me.

Crossroads Of Life

By: {Leon}

Crossroads Of Life

Life has many crossroads and when you come to one, you sit and wait not knowing which direction to head in next. Though you have travelled to this part of the journey with many companions. All of a sudden you seem to be alone deserted while you make your choice as only you can make this choice. No one else can choose your direction at the crossroads of life, Time seems to stand still while a direction is sought. All the advice in the world seems to matter not at this moment, as you and you alone must choose your direction. Whether it be the choice of your own actions or ones put on you by others, what has brought you here makes no difference. Sit and contemplate what has brought you to the crossroad, what has gone before has gone, but what’s in front of you can be of your own making. You have the chance to recreate your life again, this time it may be for the better, or you may travel a different route and meet new companions to inspire you to new and wonderful challenges. In this contemplation ask your inner self for a direction ask where will I be that allows me to be me, not someone else or what others want you to be. Just reflect again where is the best place that me can be me and you have your answer and your direction to travel.

Thank You God

By: {Khalil}

I thank You, God, for skies so blue,
for sunshine warm, for each day new,

For mountains high and oceans deep
for joyful play and restful sleep,

For quiet nights and busy days,
a touch of love, a word of praise,

For friends so true, who share our years,
through joy and sorrow, smiles and tears,

For winters white, and summers green
and all the lovely months between,

For distant moon and twinkling star,
who make us see how small we are,

For nurturing sun and gentle rain,
on thirsty land and fields of grain,

For farmer’s toil on fertile field,
with harvest ripe and fruitful yield,

For sunsets red, and golden dawn,
for songs of birds, to start each morn.

Each day a miracle anew,
for all this, God, I’m thanking you.

Profound Thought From A Child

By: {Silverpotter}

My daughter was reading a journal from a friend on a online website...the journal was written by a a fourteen yr old, and he wanted to know what other kids thought of the concept of heaven and hell...my daughter told me about this tonight..i asked her what she said in response to his journal, she is 12 yrs old and her statement was this(keep in mind i have not given the conversation regarding the issue due to having death in our family two times in their life and it was immediate family so we kept it simple) "Hell is when you dont finish something you wanted to, heaven is finishing what you wanted to do in this life."
well due to the limited talks we have had it gave me chills...

set my passions free
show people how i capture
thoughts that run so wild
from a scent of summer roses
to the depth of an inner child
monet would have been captivated
by the sheer ease of my pen
shown my work to his admirers
unleashed my passion again and again
one day a heaven will join us monet
my passion to be shown to you
my heart will burst with all the words
society would not let through

Old choked the dust from coal mines
Old nursed your pain so many times
Old kissed tears and newborn child
held you in safe hands while life ran wild
Old fought wars for you and me
Saved hard to stay ahead
so next time you see a wrinkled face
or pass the grounds that hold our dead
Try to see that old is grand
one day it visits us all
respect, a nod, a simple smile
can make there day a ball.

By: {Shygirl}

What does an evening bring,
that makes me hurt so,
it brings back what he did to me
such a long time ago.
It shows you hurting me,
my clothes on the floor,
it shows me begging and pleading,
for you to do no more.
What does an evening bring,
that makes my tears run deep.
It shows the fear in my face,
and makes my body weak.
I feel inside I am dirty,
contamination inside of me.
Sometimes I have to hurt me,
open up get away from me.
I have a dream of a special place,
where I no longer see your face.
A place where I get wings,
there are no unclean things.

You left me with a daily battle not to go there.

I write to you from Glasgow. Yes! Glasgow - my first time in Scotland... I am so ignorant that I thought they were in a different time zone here - duh! I am staying with my good friend Wendy who has been through a very hard time emotionally as well, like me. We have been out, guzzling red wine and laughing.

I want to thank you for being kind to me. All of you.

I want to ... I want... I just want to be. Actually, I need to stop wanting.

I have been reminded of a great business idea I had and I am now excited to try it out - so watch this space!!!

By the way - Karen: I still would love to meet you for a coffee (I know you don't drink coffee, so let's make it a herbal tea) and Leon - can I make an appointment for reiki? it may do me some good.

Let's all get excited about our futures, ok?

Love you all,

Open And Trusting

By: {Karen}

Dear all,

I have spoken to a few new guests today in chat and what has struck me is how guarded and fearful people can be.

It's so sad, simply asking someone for their name can reduce someone to silence. So I've been sat here thinking about names, and what the giving out of ones name can mean.

It has been deemed by many native tribes that if we possess the name of a person we can affect them in some manner either for good or bad. Wasn't it the native American Indian's who believed if our image was captured by a camera it would also capture our souls. Maybe holding someone's name can have the same affect. So maybe its a superstitious fear. Without a surname a first name cannot reveal anything about us, where we live, our age or financial status.

It could be that they wish to remain anonymous but then why join a spiritual site where its very essence is about spiritual growth revealing honestly and openly our fears our hopes and dreams. I personally would think twice about confiding in or placing my trust in someone who wont even tell me their name!!!

I reveal mine, without any qualms and even the place where I live. Because, I'm open and trusting. That is the sad part for me, that so many people have lost the ability to be that, just to be open. I want to take their hands and say, look its ok, you are safe here take a chance and see where it takes you.

I wonder what you all think?

Love and light

Practicing The Presence Of God

By: {Shrinath}

When your mind wanders in the maze of myriad worldly thoughts, patiently lead it back to remembrance of the indwelling Lord. In time you will find Him ever with you--a God who talks with you in your own language, a God whose face peeps at you from every flower and shrub and blade of grass.
Then you shall say: "I am free! I am clothed in the gossamer of Spirit; I fly from earth to heaven on wings of light." And what joy will consume your being!

Cast Your Pebble Into The Water

By: {Karen}

Cast your pebble into the water and see how it ripples...

I was thinking today about the "ripple" effect. About, how everything we do. every decision we make affects someone else.

If you think about this too much it will freeze you into total inaction. Its tough enough making decisions for ourselves in this world without having to bear the responsibility for the affect those decisions may have on others.

So , how can we detach ourselves from this mindset and in doing so free ourselves to live totally in the moment, to "go with the soul".

We are taught that to put ourselves first is SELFish...yet how can we have a relationship with the SELF if we don't become more selfish. By penetrating our own psyche's we then start to unravel the mysteries of who we really are. We then start to understand what we need to do with our lives to make us truly happy and in so doing create the ripple affect that we really want in our lives...

Can the ripple affect extend thru time and space...are the actions of previous lives felt in this life as a ripple effect. Its something I have been pondering on a lot lately. Am I in the process of my second chance..will I get it right this time, or will I get it wrong??

God is approachable. Talking to Him and listening to His words in the
scriptures, thinking of Him, feeling His presence in meditation, you will
see that gradually the Unreal becomes real, and this world which you think is real will be seen as unreal. There is no joy like that realization.

By: {Nathan}

So here is my current state of distress:

I quit my job for the reasons that I will list below and how unfair my job was treating me. I know life has it's challenges and I feel I am going through one. Here is what I emailed my boss:

"Here are the reasons. I do NOT have enough money even though just recently paid to cover bills and moving accommodations also gas. I know that there is one paycheck left for me for the work that I did at Bruce's, but that will still not cover the amount I absolutely NEED. I have not received the cash that you owe for the extra work that you provided me to do while you were gone. I have the hours that I have worked along with Rachele and Conrad documented so we can be paid fairly. Even with the extra money that you would provide it is still not enough. The house hunting is going to take up all of my time and cannot wait another 2 to 3 weeks for a check that is only going to be ALMOST 300 dollars I NEED more. If I am not paid for the work that I did at Bruce's along with the remaining pay from Joanne's I will file a complaint with the company, along with the complaint that I am filing about the job needing to be unionized for employee fairness. I understand that you took this job for the experience and commend you for it. However my complaint deals more with the company as a whole then on a individual basis. I feel that I am not the only one feeling this at the moment. I do not really want to do this, but have to because of my current situation. I know I gave you a two week notice, but because of sheer exhaustion and frustration with money I cannot go any further. I also feel that since Bruce filed a formal complaint about our work I do not feel comfortable continuing painting on this structure.

Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns and I will be able to talk to you if needed, but I cannot continue painting Bruce's house I am sorry for any inconvenience.

Aaron

Best part he texted me back and said "Unionization,,? You have to be kidding me. If you wanna quit, quit already. But filing a complaint will only hurt me, and that's pretty crappy coming from you""

So now I am currently out of job looking for another one for only one month.I am getting worried on what to do, because I also have to move to another state for school and currently do not have enough money to do this.

Ideally I would like meditation suggestions, encouraging words, and honesty in what I told my boss was clear and well written in a professional sense of the word.

Thank you all that can help.

of spiritual beings and this and that
desperate as i was for someone to hear me
i stayed online just to feel free
the more i listend the more i saw
the more i liked and began to adore
what some were saying i could not comprehend
but there heartfelt love i could feel them all send
and it did not seem to matter what i did not know
they let me pour out my heart of sorrow
and even though with some i havent got a clue
they allways say hey trace you just be you
and now it some small way they understand and see
i can help sometimes others just by being me
so here i have stayed and call in each day
it dosent seem to matter if im not full of cheer
its like having a therapist and chat and so much more

Dads Last Words Written

By: {silverpotter}

Dear Father, God in heaven,
Sunday when the pastor asked "Why should God allow you to live?" it was probably one of the most thought-provoking questions I have ever heard. As I thought about it, I realized I had many reasons why i wanted to live. #1 is is an overwhelming desire to share the goodness you have sown me with anybody and everybody I cross paths with, knowing that you are not a respecter of persons. Your goodness and greatness is available to anyone who accepts what you have done for us. The English language doesnt even begin to express how i feel. I"m so grateful and thankfulfor the babtism of the holy spirit where i can pray in a heavenly language to express my inner feelings. Because of my overwhelming gratitude for what you have done for me I would hate to have anybody miss out, no matter who they are or what they have done. Your unconditional love is totally ovewhelming. It's such a privelege and honor to be a friend of yours. I love you so much, Jesus.
Love, Jerry

That was my dad and i can only add.... Thank you dad, even though you only raised me for 7 years. I was just like you.
You were what i needed and what i will measureand choose the man i will spend the rest of my life by. You told the truth and held the biggest key.

Can You See Gods Love

By: {Khalil}

Can you see God's beauty,
Can you see His love shine,
In everything around you,
Just look at all the magnificent signs.

It is in each individual snowflake,
That drifts so gracefully to the ground.
You can see His love so vividly,
In each delicate flower petal found.

You can see His love twinkle brightly,
In the stars so strategically placed.
You can see it in the brightness of the sun,
As you feel its warmth caressing your face.

You can see His love as the grass turns green,
As the rains shower down from the sky,
As the squirrels chase each other up a tree,
As the birds so gracefully fly.

You can see His love in a mother and child,
As they share a loving embrace.
But it is easiest to see His undying love,
When you gaze across another’s face.

Peace and blessings

Trust

By: {Karen}

"My first earliest memory is of a large hand holding mine". This is something my son wrote for an essay he had been asked to do for an English assignment. It captivated me, in just a a few simple words he had encapsulated to me what symbolised trust. This child's first memory was of someone he loved holding his hand.

To me when I think about God and his place in my life I think that analogy perfectly fits. We are the small children, and our faith helps us to simply trust!! When a little child puts out their hand to a loving parent it is with the innocant certainty that they will be taken care of and protected.

How often in life have we experienced doubt and fear about the decisions we make and the things that we do. So afraid are we that we become immobilized and frozen. Real spiritual growth is stunted and we cannot move forward.

It is part of our initiation I know to face these trials. But listen to how it sounds, frozen, imobilized.....it is the emotion of fear that has these traits. But then say the words, Love, trust and happiness how does that make you feel? How does it sound..? They are the words of empowerment and freedom. How incredibly powerful these words are.!!!!!!!!

The energy that will ensue from us using such powerful affirmations will allow us to become all that we can be. Beautiful Spiritual beings who have been given the precious gift of life. The gift to learn and express ourselves through our physical bodies. Why then do we sometimes feel trapped by our bodies, by their earthly weightiness..., and long to free ourselves both mentally and physically. When I believe that the true gift that we have been given is the ability to experience our spirituality, through our humanity.

Meditation

By: {Karen}

I have been trying to be more self disciplined about meditating as I have found sleeping difficult. This does help me to quieten down before sleep. But have recently experienced meditations that have been different.

I normally, take some time to ground and protect and just slip gently into a kind of relaxed state. I usually see a lot of color and faces mainly smiling some sad and landscapes. White buildings, hot white sand and shimmering sun.

The last couple of times I have done this I have found floating above the ground. Lying on my back and aware that I am surrounded by a circle of people. They are dressed in white robes and it is as if I am being suspended by their energy. They each hold crystals in their hand and as I am lowered down I am lying upon a crystal alter or dais of some kind. I hear them talking among themselves. Is she ready, this area needs activating. I have a band on my wrist and feel something on my forehead. Then this incredible bright light fills my eyes and my head feels like it will explode. So much so, I am jolted out of the meditation and feel very lightheaded for a while afterwords. Also experiencing a change in my vision. You know when u are in the dark and come out into very bright sunshine. My vision is blurry and things have lights around them. Very strange, I'd appreciate any feedback on this.

Spiritual Growth

By: {karen}

Why is that we have to suffer to grow spiritually, why can't growth be brought about by happiness and love. After all, cannot these two emotions be extremely uplifting, and bring out much soul searching. Maybe it is because when we experience these feelings we are focused on someone or something else.

Whereas suffering and pain usually requires our attentions to be focused on ourselves and inward. Maybe that is something we should think about next time we go through a difficult or painful period. Intense periods of introspection can bring about great changes within our own psyche. I have noticed that there is also a increase of mental control or will power for want of a better word.

For myself, I have noticed that after much reflection on the different changes that are occurring in my life and to myself that I need to find a quiet place where I am not so distracted. Home and work do not offer the solitude that is needed for this task. I guess its off to find a sanctuary for me.

No matter which way you turn a compass, its needle points to the north. So it is with a true yogi. Immersed he may be in many activities, but his mind is always in the Lord. His heart constantly sings: "My God, my God, most lovable of all!"

Tiredness

You talk of tiredness as a matter of importance. It is to you and many other people on your planet.

How can one go about their daily chores when they are feeling tired, how can they best be themselves, when this tiredness controls their bodies.

If you take a look at yourself for a start and cast out of your life anything you are overdoing, that is unneeded.

The way to complete any task with the least of ease is to work at a steady pace. Does a tree and it’s branches and leaves grow overnight every spring. No it takes weeks and months to grow to its full size and elegance, moving at a steady and even pace of growth.

In times of tiredness, close your eyes and think how the animal kingdom manages to work and rest when they need to.

A grizzly bear does not waste energy it will spend time fishing so that it can eat and replenish its energy, but when the task is done it rests. You may say my life is not as easy as a grizzly bear, well it may not be, all I am asking is for you to take notice of how the bear manages to rest and I do mean rest, when the chance is given. Sleep is the biggest energizer and giver of renewed energy, both in body and mind.

Tiredness comes through over doing things. So to replenish do the opposite to what has made you tired.

Don’t flit around like a butterfly from flower to flower having a short rest on your way, the butterfly can do this as its life is meant to be short. Yours is not short, so be more like the Great Bear and look after your mind and body so that your soul can truly carry out each day’s task that is set.

Acceptance

By: {Leon}

Life is about accepting and understanding other people’s behaviour.

It is alien to some people to accept in others what they cannot accept in themselves. But it causes far less pain to learn acceptance of issues that trouble you, as life has a habit of throwing up what you least like to happen or have most trouble in accepting.

Acceptance is the key to not having these troubles sent your way, as acceptance erodes away the fear of all the worries of life that befall you.

Anticipate Enlightenment

By: {Leon}

If at the end of the day all has not gone well, it is no good looking back as sight was given to look forward.

Rest before the dawn of a new day, anticipate on what may happen, whether it brings you sorrow or joy. Anticipate as if you were being forgiven for not being able to find enlightenment to your questions sooner.

If your mind is set in this way, you shall be clear in thought, knowing you have done your best in the circumstances set. While trying not to expect the worst, which will only bring you more undue worry.

Strength Built From Within

By: {Leon}

Some people have what you have not got and others owe you what you think you deserve, which can bring ill feeling. But the lord does not deal this way.

He cannot be the provider of your needs, when you need to care for your own. There is no greater provider of strength, than the strength built from within, this strength or fortitude is built over time.

Though you may think that time is against you or your time on earth has not been easy. This is a burden set by your own standards, but it need not be so.

The road may be long the journey tiresome but stop to think. The same road that you have already trod has gone yet the scars may still show. But you can gain comfort from what you have achieved so far.

I ask you to look back and say I’ve come so far under such strain, if I can manage that the rest of the journey can be no harder, so be it.

Knowledge Is Golden

By: {Leon}

Imagine just for a moment that you are a Honey Bee. Flying through the sky, searching for nectar to take back to your hive.

The Honey Bee is not too choosey where it gets the nectar from whether it’s a red, blue or pink flower, a Tulip, Rose or Geranium. The bee still fills it’s basket full of nectar to take back to the hive. Spiritual knowledge is like that, whether you gather your knowledge from Christianity, Hinduism or Buddhism, or gain enlightenment from any other such source.

Once taken back to the hive or your mind, honey can be created for the Honey Bee and Knowledge created for the soul.

Whatever awareness the soul gains through Religions and theologies, can be put to use in your souls journey of experiencing, and its need for knowledge on all facets of life. Which can be utilised, as knowledge is golden.

Look For Peace

By: {Leon}

Peace is a very difficult state of mind to achieve. Though all people seek to achieve this either on a global scale through the ending of wars, or more locally by just living without pain. To have peace is to be released from the shackles that anchor us down to earthly pursuits. Peace only comes from disregarding these pursuits and taking up pursuits and ways of being of a higher level of thought.

Have you ever looked at a flower in the garden and smelt the aroma that is given off, some people would not even bother to notice the difference between flowers.

But the attuned mind will notice the difference, as the attuned mind will notice the distinction between earthly pursuits and pursuits of pure sensations.

As only through sensations can you feel the vibration of life, the vibration of the flower is smelt which brings a balance to your own vibration.

So seek nature and pursuits not of materialism to find peace, as peace comes from the balancing of your own vibratory rate of movement.

Friendliness

By: {Leon}

I wrote the following words for a patient of mine who died a few years ago, she was in her nineties as I wrote it. While she made me a cup of tea, she said "Leon write something for me on friends". The following words are what I wrote in the 2 minutes I was left alone, written on a scrap of paper. She was one of the nicest people I have ever spoken to and I loved her back just as much as she loved me. I dedicate this to Elsie Camp.

Your life is part and parcel of your being, and you being friendly to others will pave the way for gloriously meaningful events to enter your life. As contact with nobody or not showing your fellow man kind regard, will only bring mundane and none advantageous events.

Through friendship, an event takes meaningship and through this contact life is far easier, with your fellow man beside you.

Events take place to add to your souls purpose, the purpose of your soul can only be carried out through contact with others, whether it be friendly contact or the opposite.

But greater enjoyment and satisfaction comes through friendly contact. So next time you turn your back on someone, remember you are not allowing this meaningship to come into existence.

Seeking Answers

By: {Silverpotter}

Sometimes when we seek answers we may get pieces of a trail. Often very subtle ,as god cant exactly drop a road sign saying this way, as that would take away free will.

How i have seen signs are many..music is one example I'll use for simplicity, think of something or it reminds me of something then suddenly the song in perfect timing is played...ironic? only for the first few times but when a whole life of that and more types of signs come, it unfolds to a bigger answer, my path. Sometimes other people are involved say they play the song to you and don't know why? Now with that in mind as to other people,and there involvement, is the question involve the person that played the song or are they just another say "unaware messenger?" You must be watchful for a series of signs from everywhere, whether written or hearing or seeing or feeling. Many ways for god to communicate.

If all that is taking place with you and you follow this and you find more coming and all seems to make perfect sense and its all making positive changes, like an order of events , and you find people in your life coming and going and your still being led, you've solved part of it.

Now the other side of it you have found others in your life for example new people, maybe even a relationship. Chances are you have found they are similar in the respect of how they also seek the true way of path finding, the more spiritual way or say by Gods way. By sharing with them all the things you have seen and experienced, even by them not getting exact answers themselves, wouldn't you now become their living proof in ways you may not see unless they share too?

We don't know what we are to someone else unless it is open and honest and by the most spiritual way we can achieve, in other words our highest self. Are we supposed to be in their path ,and from what level and how, or mere messengers of each that we cross paths with.

P.s I was "told" to post this hehe hope it means something for someone.

A Little Spiritual In Me Today

By: {Shygirl}

help me lord throughout each day
show me how to lead the way
help me shine in all that I do
show me I can be like you

help me make the most of me
show me how to really feel free
help me learn how to deal
with the hurting at times i feel

wrap your arms tight around
lift me high up from the ground
circle me with all that is light
take my demons, give me light

worthy lord and by your side
one day i would like to be
with wings to hold my dear ones
and you to be proud of me

Listening

By {Karen}

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but I'm pretty chatty.. my personality could be described as being gregarious and outgoing. So you could safely say, I don't have any problems talking..

But listening, this is another story. I am an adviser and pride myself on having a good listening ear. Able to read between the lines and pick up nuances in the voice that will guide me direct me to ask the right questions to help draw someone out.

I would love to develop this faculty to the extent that I able to listen to myself.....or my own inner voice. That, still quiet place that I occasionally find, so that I can listen to the voice of God. We are our own best friends, our own counselor's and guides, mentor's, its all there within ourselves isn't i!!

Pearls of wisdom often drop out of the mouths of people in places where we would not expect it. I often wonder, if for a moment, their godliness raises its consciousness and these words are not simply their own thoughts, but thoughts put there for me to hear.. how wonderful would that be, in that moment I realize that God is everywhere and looking out for us at all times.

I want so much to access this part of myself. Could it be that it is my ego that is getting in the way. Maybe, I wont like what the voice will tell me, and part of me is aware of that so it shuts it off.
Eventually we learn to avoid situations or obstacles that get in the way of growth so I am assuming that what does happen to us is completely right for us. But it is the rationale part of our psyche that puts doubts in the way.

The tug on my heart and soul that draws me forward in spite of my own fears and misgivings, has to be for my highest good, doesn't it. If it doesn't that what are we, simply moths drawn to the flame, simply to die in a blaze of painful glory.

Love and light

Trust

By: {Karen}

Love and light

Medititation

By: {Karen}

Work With Love

Hi Everyone.

After the chat the other day in the chatroom, about the tv show Most Haunted. Im still appauled in the way that they portray mediumship. I have been working with spirit since I was a young teenager and although I was scared with their presence this was not because I had encounterd bad or evil spirits but simply because I was not educated. And this resulted in fear, now many years later I can honestly say that with every single spiritual experience that I have had I have never had anything bad come through.
I feel that if we work with pure love at the highest possible frequency then that is what we will attract, however if we are working with fear or lower intentions then this will attract the lower spirits.
I just wish that Most Haunted would either be totaly banned or change the way in which they behave on the show. Eg, the swearing! It's awful, im very offended by the way in which these people swear at the spirits, no wonder they get hacked off, wouldnt you?
So all im trying to say is this, please don't allow fear-mongers stop your connection with the spirit world, if you work with love & for the highest good for everyone then you will recieve wonderful energies from the spirit world.

Hope this helps to dissolve any fear about mediumship or any type of spiritual work.

Forces Within

Take my hand child of light where we might find your life this night
take no deterrent, let no one push aside your purpose, sure footed be your way..let your path grow before you let your steps find their way..before you have walked this way, before you have tread this path, let no one push you under.

I sometimes have these thoughts that seem to come from no where, a thought the overwhelming desire to write things down. Forces within us that we have no idea where they come from, or what we are capable of. We are limitless our abilities are boundless. Can we for tell things that have been or are to come. I don't know my logical mind says no, but there is a strangeness about my mind sometimes, that makes me think yes..a inner knowing. This cycle of life repeated or not..dimensional, who knows.

I am the night I am the day I am the earth beneath your lay..before you lies eternity behind you lies eternity..who am I, I cannot say!!

Love and light

Attachments

By: {Karen}

We often resist change because of the emotional attachment we have in a person or situation. Its natural that we wish to stay with what we feel is right for us. But sometimes we have to let go and move on to find out where our place is and what it is that we are meant to do next.

I know that our lives are made up of phases or periods of either physical or spiritual growth. We exhaust the resources that are presented to ourselves and then have to look for and find somewhere else to grow and change.

I am one of these sad people who when they find themselves settled in and surrounded by the richness. oasis of spirituality and love, that it is so much easier to stay and feel safe and protected in that rarefied atmosphere. But as with all things change will come to pass, whether we accept it gracefully or it is forced upon us. Silvia and Leon have both said, that pain only occurs when we resist something. Change will happen, and with this acceptance and hopefully the pain will not last too long.

With love and light

Passion For Life

I have spent the last couple of years of my life simply treading water...not living just existing..the only distraction being my desire to grow. I'd lost my enthusiasm, my focus, my fire, my passion.

Now, I have found it again, its like having a light switched back on, and the Grey mist has been lifted. I have regained my enthusiasm for life and my hunger to learn and to grow. I have changed so much and learned so much, so I know this descent into the darkness was meant to be, but there were times that I thought that I'd never find my way back up.

Feelings numbed from bereavement and hurt. It was as if life was a play and I was a spectator, only observing, not being part of it. I had removed myself and only allowed myself to feel..ripples..on the outside.

Now, I feel again, found something in myself that has fired me up, my senses back to life. I love to feel the rain on my face, to feel the wind in my hair, to paddle in the sea, and to feel the grass squishing between my toes. The smell of flowers, the sensation of hot sun kissing my face. I embrace my passions, and arms outstretched welcome any experience and sensation that now comes my way.

Life is wonderful, and it is for living..

Love and light

The Ascension Process

By: {Timmy}

Greetings from London!

I have been following Karen Bishop's Energy Alerts on the website 'What's Up On Planet Earth'.

As we know, July 2007 is a very powerful month and a lot of changes are taking place - "purging, releasing and realigning".

Is this why so many relationships are coming to an end? Because they no longer serve our highest good?

Karen says we need to really let go now and just be - take a break and pamper ourselves.

She says we may have been feeling a great resistance to our old duties and ways, not wanting to have to do anything.

Is this why I felt a need to give up my career a year ago? I felt that I could no longer function in the 'corporate world' as I could no longer stomach the huge egos and greed that I came across?!

Have any of you been going through the same thing? How are you dealing with it?

Healing Power Of Milk

By: {Timmy}

Does anyone know whether milk has any healing powers??

Strange question, I know, but recently I have felt drawn to drinking a lot of the stuff and leaving some next to my bed in a glass, while I sleep.

You see, a couple of weeks ago I developed a bladder infection which became quite bad very quickly. One night, I unintentionally had a glass of milk next to my bed and was so surprised that in the morning my symptoms had virtually disappeared! It also seems to help me have a more restful sleep.

Maybe this is codswallop (sic) but I just have a feeling and had to ask...

This video shows Omraam Aivanhov in 1968. The violin music is by his master Peter Dounov, known in bulgaria by the name Beinsa Douno. The dance they are doing is called Peneurythmy, which is rhythmic movements. Anyone who has read Omraam Aivanhov will be touched by this video of him interacting with people. God bless him.

Smitty (Gone But Not Forgotten)

By: {Auntiebelle}

Smitty

She sits there like a statue
Not a movement so serene
Hiding amongst the breadcrumbs
She thinks she cant be seen
She waits there until sleep comes
Then she drifts into a dream
That’s the time the sparrows come
While she sleeps there so serene
Then slowly she awakes
She watches them at play
Silently she pounces
But the birds all fly away

Dance

By: {Timmy}

While watching the BBC news programme this morning, I saw footage of the ballet dancer Carlos Acosta, a Cuban. He is amazing - seemingly defying the laws of gravity as he jumps into the air. It reminded me of the time I watched a programme about Rudolf Nureyev, who was just magical as he floated for a split second in the air before landing like a feather on the stage.

I really admire dancers for their skill and passion. What a wonderful way to use one's body to express oneself!

I hope you all manage to enjoy the beauty of your own dance - even if it means dancing around your living room while doing the housework!

The Power Of Love

The power of love to elevate, conquer and transform has been lauded in the literature of every major religion. It is, too, the fire which supplies the energy and light for contemplation seeking knowledge of God or Reality.

"For he who fights with love will win the battle, " says the Tao To Ching, 67. He who defends with love will be secure. Heaven will save him and protect him with love".

Love as a meditation involves emptying the mind of all content except loving, which acts as a purificatory flame. St John of the Cross said," that love sets the soul on fire and destroys all in it that is not love." Abu 'Abd Allah al-Quarashi, a Sufi, put it "Love means giving all you have to Him who you love, so that nothing remains to you of your own' Here we have yet another way of stripping the ego of its skins!!

In my desire to rid myself of negativity I have been meditating on the purity of love, these are extracts taken from a book I have on Meditation by James Hewitt. The following poem was used by a Simone Well who used to induce mystical ecstasy in herself by repeating the poem Love by George Herbert (1593-1633)

Love bade me welcome, yet my soul drew
